Trusted Mental Health Apps
| June 1, 2025 – The Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) is thrilled to share that the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador recently launched their Mental Health and Addictions App Library, developed in partnership with the MHCC and the Organisation for the Review and Care of Health Apps (ORCHA). The library includes apps that have passed the MHCC’s Assessment Framework for Mental Health Apps, ensuring they are equitable, safe, high-quality and effective. This framework is based on seven standards: Data and privacy Clinical evidence Clinical safety User-ability and accessibility Security and technical stability Cultural safety, social responsibility, and equity Enhanced data sovereignty |
