Join the CIF Peer Selection Committee
Who are we?
The Consumer Initiative Fund (CIF) funds projects that are proposed, managed, and led by people with lived/living experience of mental health and/or substance use challenges. CIF projects foster inclusion and community integration, decrease isolation, build capacity, and encourage participants to realize their potential.
What’s Involved in the CIF Peer Selection Committee?
We need help from people in the peer community to read project proposals, talk about them, and choose which ones would help the community the most. Members of the Peer Selection Committee:
- Review written project proposals and score them based on the needs of the community
- Provide feedback on each proposal
- Attend 3-4 committee meetings via Zoom to discuss proposals with a committee of peers
- Recommend which proposals should receive funding
We are looking for a maximum of 3-5 committee members. This opportunity includes an honorarium (amount to be confirmed based on volume of proposals).
Who can Apply?
- Vancouver residents with lived/living experience of mental health and/or substance use challenges
- Must be able to attend all scheduled committee meetings
Meeting Schedule:
- Wed, Apr 22nd 2:30-3:00pm
