Celebrate Mental Health Week with a Free Book Reading!

An Evening of Readings by contributors to Off the Map

WHEN: Wednesday May 6th, 2026
TIME: 6:30-9:00pm
WHERE: Book Warehouse – 4118 Main St, Vancouver

Off the Map is an anthology featuring Vancouver writers with lived experience of mental health and/or substance use issues.

With funding from the Consumer Initiative Fund, the anthology was coedited by Seema Shah (CIF project leader), Betsy Warland, and Kate Bird. It was published by Bell Press in May of 2025.

Readings will be held by:

Kate Bird – creative nonfiction
Jaki Eisman – creative nonfiction
Danica Longair – fiction
Harry McKeown – poetry
Ingrid Rose – creative nonfiction
Neko Smart – poetry, and 
Natasha Soregaroli – poetry

Doors at 6:30 pm, event starts at 7:00 pm.
