Job Opportunity – Peer Support Worker

Peer Support Worker Contract with Vancouver Junction at Vancouver Coastal Health
Start: ASAP
Duration of Placement: 6-month initial contract with potential to renew
Pay and Hours: $23.00 per hour, up to 40 hours per month

Location of Work: Vancouver Junction Community Centre at Robert & Lily Lee Community Health Centre (1669 E Broadway, Vancouver, BC). Additional worksites may include (but not limited to): Three Bridges Community Health Centre, Detox, Daytox, VCH Withdrawal Management, 312 Main, R2R Stabilization Unit, and Onsite.

Vancouver Junction is an inclusive community of diverse people with lived/living experience of substance use and recovery that offers substance use recovery services to adults 19+ in Vancouver. We support all pathways of recovery and each person’s self-defined recovery goals; abstinence is not a requirement for participation. Services are free and include a variety of groups, activities & one-on-one supports in-person or online.

As a Peer Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in helping people in recovery build connections, resiliency, and wellness through the Junction!
