Spotlight On Mental Health


$85 Art Grant – awarded 4 times a year

The CIF Art Grant provides an opportunity for artists to purchase art supplies. Vancouver residents who are consumers of mental health and/or substance use services are encouraged to apply.

Each Art Grant is in the amount of $85. A total of 10 grants are awarded each draw (January, April, July & October).

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for an Art Grant, an individual:

  • must self-identify as having lived or living experience with mental health or substance use issues
  • must be a Vancouver resident
  • must have specific art projects in mind
  • must not be a VCH staff member
  • must not have received an Art Grant within the past 2 years

Application Process

Application forms can be printed out and completed by hand, or completed electronically.

Submit completed applications:

  3. By mail or by dropping off in person at the following address:

Additional Information:

  • Application deadline is at 12pm (noon) on the deadline date posted at the top of this page
  • Draws happen 4 times a year in January, April, July & October
  • All submitted applications will be reviewed
  • 10 grant recipients will be randomly drawn from qualifying applications
  • Recipients will be notified by email or phone within the next week or two
  • Grants will be issued by cheque and mailed to recipients, so it is important to enter your current mailing address on the application form
