Strengthening Families Together (SFT)


A Free Education course for family / caregiver of individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses.

Strengthening Families Together is a six-session program that provides knowledge, support, and tools for families to better cope with mental illnesses together. Participating families learn the facts about psychosis, schizophrenia, mood disorders, and other severe and persistent mental illnesses; and the impact of stigma. They gain information about treatments, side-effects, and the impact of substance use. Sessions cover communication skills, stress management tools, self-care planning, crisis planning, and family advocacy.


Starting Tuesdays (in person):
February 13 – March 19 (6 sessions total  – offered every Tuesday evening )
6:30 – 9:00pm
