Upcoming course/group highlights this month:

  • Farsi Post-Crisis Growth Group
    Mondays, June 10 and 24, 6:00 – 7:30 PM, In-person
    Join our Farsi Post-Crisis Growth workshop group and discover resilient strategies for personal and professional development in the face of challenges.
     
  • Plan for Wellness & Recovery (PWR)
    (5 sessions) – starting Tuesday, June 4, 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM, In-person
    We use PWR as a tool to maintain wellness and manage periods of feeling unwell so we can live our best lives. In this peer-led course, participants are encouraged to reflect on themselves, what they are like when they are well, identify stressors, and develop wellness strategies to improve their well-being. PWR can be used for everyday life as well as to prepare for events, both planned and unexpected. By having and using your Plan, you may have fewer difficult times and when wellness challenges arise, you will be better prepared to get through them.
     
  • Pet Therapy
    Wednesdays, 2:30 – 3:00 PM, In-person
    Come spend some time with the sweet four-legged friends (dogs), give some pets, or take a short walk if the weather permits.
     
  • Your Recovery Journey
    (5 sessions) – starting Thursday, June 6, 2:00 – 4:00 PM, Online
    Your Recovery Journey is based on the experiences of people who have a mental illness and who know where is hope, who are well and doing the things they want with their lives. The program offers five, free, interactive weekly sessions, each two hours long, and all facilitated by people in recovery who can give you valuable information that will help you on your recovery journey. You’ll also learn how to find peer support and build new life skills.
     
  • Coping with Uncertainty
    (4 sessions) – starting Saturday, June 8, 1:00 – 3:00 PM, Online
    Feeling stressed by the news of the day? Join others to explore strategies to help cope with uncertainty and manage stress. Led by peer facilitators and developed during the pandemic, this 4-session course looks at stress, worry and anxiety, and common thinking traps that can affect our mental wellbeing. This course also includes many additional tools.

All groups and courses are free to attend. You are not required to have a referral, diagnosis, or be a member to participate; all are welcome!
