Building Recovery of Individual Dreams and Goals through Education and Support (BRIDGES) is a 10 week group that offers education and support to people with lived experience and is based on the belief that those of us living with a mental illness can recover.
These groups are on hold while we transition back to in-person.
BRIDGES: Building Recovery of Individual Dreams & Goals through Education & Support
This free ten week self-help peer led program helps you gain knowledge and skills to empower your journey to recovery from mental illness. Family, friends and staff are welcome.
It offers education and support to people with lived experience and is based on the belief that those of us living with a mental illness can recover.
Subjects include mental illness, psychiatric diagnoses, best practices in mental health treatment, and self-help skills for recovery.
BRIDGES Support Group – PEAS (Peer Education Advocacy & Support)
“BRIDGES helps us get from where we are to where we want to be.”
An ongoing support group open to anyone who has a diagnosis of a mental illness or addiction, whether or not they have taken a BRIDGES or Footsteps Course. The support group uses principles of support, emotional stages of recovery and problem-solving skills from the BRIDGES course material.
BRIDGES Footsteps
Footsteps is a five session course. Participants can join or leave at any point because each lesson is self contained.
It last one and a half hours. Topics include Stages of Recovery, What are diagnoses, medications, and other information.
It is traditionally taught in prisons, hospitals and short stay treatment centers. We are happy to have it in our community as well!
