WHAT THE SERIES IS ABOUT
The series “Since You Asked…” is an education / information series for family* members of someone who has mental health and/or substance use concerns. We invite all family members – those whose loved ones receive Vancouver MHSU services and those who are not connected with these services-to come and learn about the topic at hand and bring relevant questions for the presenters to answer!

The intention is for family members to understand the MHSU system better.

*Family as defined by the client

TOPIC
Understanding and navigating psychiatric medications and treatment with a MHSU Nurse Case Manager.

The discussion will include types of medications, their side effects, and addressing medication adjustments with your Mental Health team.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Your presenter will provide a presentation for approximately 20-30 minutes.

There will be an open Question & Answer period for the remaining time.

This format may change depending on the topic and the interest it generates.

We will have group guidelines in place.

We ask that you arrive no more than 15 minutes late so as not to disrupt the session.
