CIF Project Summary

Gratitude Art Journaling

Registration is currently open

The Gratitude Art Journaling Workshop combines art, mindfulness, and gratitude to provide participants with practical tools for managing mental health, self expression, and fostering connections. Led by peers who intimately understand the path of recovery, the Gratitude Art Journaling Workshop offers a unique healing space where lived experience meets creative expression.

Participants will learn art journaling techniques, which blend visual art with written reflection to explore thoughts, emotions, and ideas. The workshop encourages personal expression through various artistic methods, alongside mindfulness practices and positive psychology principles. This creative approach complements participants’ ongoing recovery journeys, adding an extra layer of support and self-discovery.

Throughout the workshop we hope participants will:

    1. Discover art journaling as a form of self-expression
    2. Learn mindfulness practices for grounding
    3. Practice gratitude exercises for building resilience
    4. Connect with other peers through supportive group sharing and reflection

This community project is led by Shelby, a peer educator. Shelby has discovered that gratitude, positive psychology, mindfulness, and art are cornerstones of lasting healing. Her journey has shaped her commitment to sharing these transformative tools with others. The project is assisted by Ana, a peer with a diverse background who is eager to support community members by sharing her transformative experiences.
